Those who had hesitations as to whether the team of Hillary Clinton and Elizabeth Warren would work had their taste of ‘egg-on-face’ when the two Democratic politicians took the center stage side-by-side last June 27.
This was the first appearance of Clinton and Warren together since the latter decided to endorse the Democratic presidential nominee. In front of over 2,000 people at the historic Cincinnati Union Terminal in Ohio, Hillary and Warren, a potential running mate to the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, locked arms and praised each other.
The Massachusetts senator expressed her support to Clinton by throwing scorching statements against Donald Trump. She mentioned "small, insecure money-grubber who fights for no one but himself," referring to the presumptive Republican presidential nominee. Warren also spoke about Hillary's big chances of becoming the next president due to her ability to stave off a greedy bully. Warren pointed out that Hillary fights for those who need her most and she does not use any form of social media just to insult or call names to her opponents. In return to flattering remarks she received, Clinton also uttered praises to Warren, especially her will to stand up to Trump and express her disapproval of most of his actions and statements.
This event has garnered different reactions from the voting public. The others say the country is not ready yet for two women on the ticket while there are some who believe that, although Clinton has campaigned with other possible running mates, appearing next to Warren has brought about a different and a more interesting feel.
